Year 6 Homework

Year 6 homework will appear here weekly in a date labelled folder.  If your child is unsure about any aspect, please encourage them to talk to me in class or send me an email. The children will bring home a login card with information needed to access accounts. Please check logins and report any issues back to me so that amendments can be made.

Expectations:

Year 6 will receive the following tasks each week:

Maths 60 minutes each week (arithmetic/reasoning/TTRS)

English 60 minutes each week (reading comprehension/SPaG/spelling/Reading Theory)

Daily reading of 20 mins - this should be recorded in pupils reading log

NEW!!! Daily maths practice of arithmetic skills - this can be found in the arithmetic file below. It should be completed and marked at home from the answers provided.

NEW!!! Spelling overview of patterns that will be studied in class. There will be no spelling test but pupils should learn these spelling patterns so that they can be applied in their writing. You will find these in the weekly homework folders.

Homework is published for Thursday, please ensure your child plans their time carefully so homework is completed by the following Thursday each week.
