In school this week we have shared the story We're Going on a Bear Hunt, we have been recognising, sorting and matching the coloured bears. We have retold the story in our small world and role play areas and we also made binoculars and went on our own bear hunt.  Attached is a video of Michael Rosen telling the story, please share this with your child encouraging them to go on their own bear hunt in the garden.  Any photographs or videos can be added by you to the tapestry app, this is a great way to improve communication and language skills in Nursery as the children love come to the front and share their tapestry news with their friends on our interactive whiteboard.

Above is the link to the CBeebies Colourblock series, these are a good way of encouraging colour recognition, matching and sorting.  Play a game with your child a colour matching game with your child at home for example, ask them to find something that is red etc.  Please upload any photographs onto the tapestry app so that we can share with your child in Nursery.
