Year group overviews

At St Anne's we follow a mastery approach to learning maths. This means we cover areas of mathematical learning in blocks to encourage depth of understanding, supporting fluency, problem solving and reasoning. Follow the links below to see the areas of mathematical learning covered in each year group. The length of time spent on each block is shown, however, this is not a rigid timetable and more or less time may be spent on the area as needed.

Children will have lessons following a clear structure and purpose which is outlined below.
