This week we were thinking about inventions in reception.  We thought about different times of the day and looked at clocks and telling the time.  We also learnt about the take away symbol in maths and completed simple take away number sentences.

For our knowledge and understanding of the world, we were learning about signs of summer and identifying these in our garden area.

Homework.

For homework this week, look for signs of summer in your garden or when you are out and about.  Draw and label some of the things you see or hear.

Talk about time at home.  Tell your child what time it is when they get up, eat meals, go to bed, etc to help them understand the structure of their day.

Continue to hear your child read at home as often as possible.
