27.5.22

This week we read The Extraordinary Gardener and talked about towns and cities.  This book is about a dull grey space and its transformation into a beautiful place.

We have also been learning about Pentecost ahead of the Feast of Pentecost on June 5th.

In maths this week we started halving numbers and continued counting in ones forwards and backwards.

Finally, we finished off our half term thinking about the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and celebrating with a special whole school picnic lunch.

HOMEWORK

Use the holidays to spend time practising your child's reading.  Some children have recently been bringing books they have borrowed from the library in to read with the class.  The week off could be a good opportunity to visit a local library with your child.

If you are celebrating the Platinum Jubilee over the holidays, take some pictures to share with us on Tapestry.

Continue to practise correct number formation, starting each number from the top.  Challenge - Can you write all the number to 20?

Many thanks,

Reception Team.
