Welcome to Year 2's Class Page

Welcome to Autumn term 2026.

Your teacher is Miss Owen

I am so excited to welcome you all to Year 2 and to begin what I hope will be a happy, exciting and memorable year for everyone. We have lots of wonderful learning experiences planned, and I am looking forward to seeing the children grow in confidence, develop their independence and flourish throughout their time in Year 2.

Class Reminders

The classroom doors open at 8.40am for a prompt start at 8.45am.
The school day finishes at 3.20pm.
PE will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Children should come to school wearing their PE kit on these days. Earrings must be removed (we are unable to tape over them).
Children may enter school and be collected from the KS1 playground.
Please make sure that all cardigans, jumpers, PE hoodies and jackets are clearly named.
Homework will be published in the 'homework folder' on the class webpage each Thursday and should be completed and handed in by the following Wednesday.

St Nicholas

St Nicholas is an inspiring saint because he showed generosity, kindness and care for those in need. He was known for secretly giving gifts and helping poor families, expecting nothing in return. His example encourages us to share what we have, notice when others need help, give generously and show God’s love through acts of kindness and service.
