  • Reception Class visit St Anne's Church for the first time!

    Today Reception Class visited St. Anne's Church for the first time in preparation to join the whole school in Mass tomorrow morning! As always parents are more than welcome to join us - Mass will begin at 9.15am tomorrow.

    Today in 'Forest School' with Mrs Jones, Reception Class spotted hazards in the environment and made some lovely forest art pictures on the ground! Then Mrs Jones read the class a wonderful story which was kindly donated to us by Lily-Mai!

  • Year 5 learn Aromatherapy

    Justine Di Cesare from Tranquility visited Year 5 today. Justine is an aromatherapist and she talked to the children about essetial oils - how they are made and what they are used for. Year 5 particuarly enjoyed the scent test. Miss Bryan did too as the classroom smelled wonderful afterwards! The children will now choose which essential oils they would like to use in their soaps and bath bombs for their classroom vehicle.

  • Reception Class' Special Visitors

    To support our curriculum vehicle about endangered animals, we had great fun when Rachel from Rodbaston Animal Zone brought some special visitors into Reception! We can't wait to make some enrichment toys that we can take to Rodbaston with us next month and give to some of the animals there. We are learning lots about endangered animals around the world and what we can do to help them.
  • Year 5 & 6 Bake Sale Fundraiser for our Day of Many Colours!

    Today was our ‘Day of Many Colours’. Children came to school dressed in bright colours of the rosary and made donations to Mary’s Meals, our current charity.
    Some of our Year 5 and 6 girls baked cakes and sold them on the playground at the end of the day. They made approximately £100 which they have donated to the charity. We are so proud of all of our children and would also like to thank all parents for their support.
  • Year 6 Prepare for Confirmation

    Bishop McGough and Father Bob, our parish priest, joined Year 6 this afternoon for a chat before they concelebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation with the children this evening. They also congregated in the school hall for the Live Broadcast of the Rosary with Archbishop Bernard Longley.

    Thank you to Mrs Lindop and Mrs Williams, our fabulous volunteers, who gave up their afternoon to set up this beautiful display for our Harvest Mass on Friday.
  • Year 4 Greenpeace Talk

    Our Year 4 children had a lovely morning spent with Malcolm Carroll from Greenpeace. He came into school to speak to them about the effects of motor transport on our world.
    The children listened eagerly and found his talk very interesting.
