Charitable fundraising
CAFOD visit
On Monday 22nd September, we welcomed CAFOD into school for a special assembly all about what it means to be Pilgrims of Hope.
The children learned about how we can walk together with others around the world, bringing kindness, courage, and hope wherever we go. After the assembly, Year 2, Year 5 and Year 6 took part in inspiring workshops, where they explored this theme in more depth.
They reflected on how small actions can make a big difference, and how we can live out our faith by caring for one another and our world. 💛🌱
It was a truly thought-provoking day, and we’re so proud of how thoughtfully our children engaged with these important messages. 🙏✨

As we come to the end of the Lenten term, we would like to thank everyone for helping us start our Father Hudson's fundraising. So far we have raised £881.13 towards our target. We will continue to have further events during the summer and autumn term.

On Tuesday 4th March, we were very fortunate to be joined by Jo from Father Hudson's, who came into school to give an assembly about all of the important work that they do to support the most vulnerable members of our community. Our children were given an insight into how their Lenten sacrifices can help to make a real difference to people's lives.

As part of our Advent fundraising linking to Solidarity and the Common Good, each class planned a fundraising activity as a way of raising money for CAFOD. Each class were incredibly generous and gave up their time to work
together for the sake of others. In total, St Anne’s raised an incredible £1000.89! Well done everyone!

Linking to our Catholic Social Teaching of Human Dignity, we came together as a school community to collect items of food that could be donated as part of our Harvest service to The House of Bread.
