Catholic Life Team

On Monday 7th April, our Catholic Life team met with our Live Simply assessor to discuss the work that they have undertaken over the last couple of years. We were commended for our faith inspired actions, demonstrating how we have been living simply, sustainably, and in solidarity with communities around the world living in poverty. Our assessor was particularly encouraging of our fundraising efforts for CAFOD, Father Hudson’s, and our food donations to the House of Bread.

Following this, our Catholic Life team said, “As a Live Simply group, we are proud to hear that we have won this award. We have enjoyed being a part of the group and have particularly enjoyed the Santa Dash fundraiser for CAFOD during Advent and collecting food for the House of Bread. We look forward to continuing our environmental focus this year such as the new food bin collection system, paper recycling and saving water linking into our World Water Day activities. We hope to work collaboratively with the Eco group going forward, as part of our Live Simply Catholic Social Teaching—Stewardship of God’s Creation”.
