Welcome to Autumn term 2025. We are excited to start a year of learning with you and to see you reach your full potential. This year is full of new challenges, learning and opportunities for you to shine.

Our Class Saint:

St John Paul II

This year, Year 5 chose St John Paul II to be their class saint because he is the patron saint of families and youth. He was also a Pope of the Catholic Church from 1978 to 2005. During his time as Pope, John Paul travelled to as many countries as he wanted to make sure that everyone was treated with dignity and had religious freedom. He also started World Youth Day to help young people learn about their faith and to ensure that everyone showed love to each other, even if they have wronged you. 

Class Reminders

• Doors open at 8.40am for a prompt start at 8.45am. Year 5 finish at 3.20pm.
• PE with be on Tuesday and Wednesday. Children should come dressed in PE kit on these days and without earrings.
• Children may enter school, and be collected via the driveway next to the Nursery. Please note that children should not arrive before 8:30am as there may be moving vehicles on the driveway before this point.
• Please name all cardigans, jumpers and PE hoodies/jackets.
• Homework is published in the folder on the class webpage on a Thursday and homework should be completed and handed in by the following Wednesday.
• Pupils travelling independently may bring a phone. All phones should be turned off when on school premises and place in the Year 5 phone box until the end of the day. Please remember to return your acceptable use form for phone use.
