Welcome to Year 2's Class Page

 

Mrs Hampton, Miss Main and Mrs McCulloch welcome you to the Summer term 2026 in Year 2. We have lots of activities to take part in and learning to engage in. Amongst our learning this term we will be finding out about the growing plants in science as well as exploring our artist 'Andy Goldsworthy' in art. As always, the summer term is busy with our 'Learn with Me' session, 'Stay and Pray' and sports day to look forward to . Watch out for further details!

Class Reminders

  • Doors open at 8.40am for a prompt start at 8.45am. Year 2 finish at 3.20pm.
  • PE with be on  Tuesday and Wednesday. Children should come dressed in PE kit on these days and without earrings.
  • Please name all school jumpers and cardigans, PE hoodies and jackets so that they can be reunited with their owner.
  • Homework will be published in the 'Homework' folder on a Thursday and should be completed and handed in by the following Wednesday.

Year 2 Class Saint

St Lucy was born in Syracuse, Sicily in the first century. She had a strong faith and was persecuted for her beliefs and as a result was made blind. She is now the patron saint of blind people and her feast Day is 13th December which is a celebration of light as her name means light.
