Prayer and Liturgy

Reception Remembrance prayer time

On Thursday, our Reception class gathered for a special Remembrance prayer time. 🌺 They chose the colour of the cloth for their prayer area and helped put the items on their prayer space. Through prayer and reflection, they learned about gratitude, peace, and remembering those who served. ✝️

Year 5 visit Oscott College

Our Year 5 pupils enjoyed a wonderful day at Oscott College, taking part in activities inspired by Laudato Si’, Pope Francis’ message about caring for our common home. πŸŒŽπŸ’š

Through prayer, reflection, and hands-on learning, the children explored how we can all play our part in protecting God’s creation — from recycling and reducing waste to appreciating the beauty of nature around us. πŸŒΌπŸ•ŠοΈ

A huge thank you to everyone at Oscott College for making the day so inspiring and welcoming! Our pupils came back full of enthusiasm and ideas about how to live out Laudato Si’ in their everyday lives. πŸ™βœ¨

Bambinelli

The Blessing of the Bambinelli (Baby Jesus) is a tradition which began in Rome. Each year on the Third Sunday of Advent (Gaudete Sunday), the Holy Father invites children to bring the Baby Jesus (Bambinelli) from the family Nativity scene to Mass for a blessing.

The children created their own Bambinelli’s that were blessed by Father Bob at our last Mass of the Advent Term.
