Science Curriculum in Action

Year 6 and Year 4 had a wonderful outreach visit from the National Grid STEM ambassadors. The children had the chance to explore a virtual problem using digital headsets. Thank you to National Grid STEM ambassadors for a unique opportunity.

Y3 used layers of dark, milk and white chocolate to show rock formation. They created layers of each type of chocolate and then used their hands to produce 'heat and pressure' to change rock types.

Year 5 have been creative in science when investigating air resistance. They have worked in groups to create 3 different parachutes and then tested which one is the most air resistant ✈️🧪🧪

Year 2 enjoyed investigating which is the best material to make a house for the Three Little Pigs. It needs to be strong and waterproof.
