Reporting Absence

Good attendance is essential to enable your child to fulfil their potential.

On the first day of your child’s absence you need to contact the school office (before 9.15am) and provide a reason and likely return date where possible. If this is not possible the school will make contact with parents before 9.30am. You will need to contact the school on every day that your child absent until their return.

Absences can be reported either by telephone on 01785 663128 or by email to sinsull@st-annes-weepingcross.staffs.sch.uk

If a child needs to be absent for any reason other than illness, prior permission for leave of absence is required from the Executive Headteacher. This will only be given in exceptional circumstances.

We would also ask that your children arrive at school on time. Late arrival can cause the children to miss an important introduction to a lesson, which can lead to misunderstanding.
