Welcome to the summer term in Year 2. We have lots of exciting things to look forward to!

Our Summer Term Curriculum Vehicle is Brilliant Botanists.

As part of our science lessons we will observe and describe how seeds and bulbs grow into mature plants. Also, we will find out and describe how plants need water, light and a suitable temperature to grow and stay healthy. In English lessons, we will write instructions on how to care of our plants. In art, we will be using plants and other natural resources to make sculptures inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. This term will also include an exciting trip, more to come on this!

Important Information:

The school day will begin at 8:40am and finish at 3:20pm.
PE will be on a Tuesday and Wednesday, children are invited to wear their PE kit to school on these days.
Children should bring in their book bag, reading book and reading record every day.
Children are encouraged to bring their own water bottle labelled with their name.
