Week 1 and Week 2

Home Learning For Year 6.

Dear Parents and Children,

As we take measures to support our local communities and the country, we as a School will do our upmost to ensure that Children have regular access to Learning opportunities across the Curriculum. As we continue to develop and embed the electronic platform we will also utilise this section of the webiste to provide resources and updates where required.

All chidlren are now accessing the livestream and assignments set via our Year 6 Google Classroom page, where Children are finding it difficult to present work online we have sent home a purple (Lined paper - English and Foundation Subjects) and red book (squared paper - Maths) for you to complete any work that you are unable to complete online. Please email across any work that you would like to be checked or reviewed to the Year 6 specific email which is year6@St-annes-weepingcross.staffs.sch.uk.

Please note that many are links to websites, in the event of needing to recap learning or support areas where children are unsure please use the revision guides that have been sent home as well as exploring the Spag booster resource and for Maths use the website Maths is fun.During live streaming I will always be available to discuss individual issues or go over any areas of learning that need further support.

We have also sent a further learning pack (Blue Folder) that has a range of English, Maths and Spag activities, where you do experience internet difficulties please access this learning material. You will also find the log in information for TT Rockstars and Purple Mash on the inside cover.

To help support children if they have access to Siri or online dictionaries and thesaurus, please ensure children complete all tasks to the best of their abilities and encourage checking of answers in Maths and opportunities for editing and improving. Where Children complete narrative writing encourage children to use texts they have at home to provide a stimulus and examples of good practice - especially how the author develops characters, atmosphere and plots as well as examples of sentence types and uses of vocabulary.

In the event of projects children will be able to use the best software they believe will enable them to answer the questions and to complete the brief.

We thank you for your ongoing support and in the event of any issues or concerns please do not hesitate to contact the School. In our final assembly last term we discussed the Schools Mission of Trust, Respect and Love and how as Children of St Anne's we will be shining beacons to our communities and familys in this time. I have every faith that we will get through this challenging period together.

Thank you again and my hopes and prayers are with you all.
