Tuesday 8th December

Good Morning Nursery,

We hope that you are all well and keeping busy with your learning at home. If you do have any photos of your home learning, please remember to forward them to the nursery class email for us to share on the webpage.

Please get in touch if you have any concerns or queries.

Lots of love

Mrs Little and Miss Cummins

Start your day off with our morning prayer time, which I feel is most important especially during this time.  At the beginning of September, copies of our nursery class prayers were sent home in book bags.  After each prayer we all say together our School Mission Statement "Let Trust, Respect and Love Live here". We use this to remind us that we need to live like Jesus in our everyday lives.  Talk to your child about getting ready for special events, such a Christmas Day...How you might celebrate it? Who will you be celebrating Christmas Day with?

Reread/recap on the events of the story "Stick Man".  Discuss how even though Stick Man misses his family, he still helps Santa to deliver the presents to the little boys and girls fast asleep in bed.  Talk about how he might feel and how might his family feel.  Encourage your child to draw (mark make) a picture of what they would like Santa to bring to them.  (Adult to scribe what child interprets what they have drawn).  It would be lovely to see any pictures that your child has drawn and we can add them to our class page.

Please find attached "Playing at home Phonics Phase 1" for you to practise with your child everyday.

Dough disco is a brilliant programme for your child to enjoy at home. It really helps to develop those fine motor skills whilst singing along to some familiar nursery rhymes, all they need is a little handful of playdough.
