Flashcard Speed trials
Work through the phases and at the end of each phase it will show you where your child needs more practise.
(It is important to regularly practise all the phonic sounds. If not practised, children can, overtime, forget).
Enjoy sharing the story Jasper's Beanstalk:
Jasper’s Beanstalk story
At the end of the story, ask your child the questions at the end of the book.
Have a go: Ask your child to draw a picture of what they think is at the very top of the beanstalk and encourage them to write a sentence or two about it.
Play the 2d and 3d shape power point at the bottom of this page. This power point will help your child learn about some of the properties of 2d and 3d shapes. At the end of the power point, play the game again with your child. Try to describe a shape to your child using only the shape's properties e.g. how many sides/edges? Has it got corners? Is it curved? Is it a solid 3d shape or a flat 2d shape? Now see if your child can have a go.
