Tuesday 23rd June
Good morning Year 3
Today we are beginning a new story, set again in the Stone Age, called 'The Settlers'. I would like you to read Chapter 1 on Purple Mash and answer the online multiple choice questions. Afterwards, pretend you are Ash and write a diary account of your day. You can write this using the 2Do on Purple Mash or on paper.
Hopefully you now have a good idea of what mass is and know that we measure mass using grams (g) and kilograms (kg). Today I would like you to use the worksheet to practise reading scales to measure mass. You need to think carefully about what each scale goes up in and what the lines in between the numbers could represent.
Check out a Joe Wicks Live PE lesson or a dance routine from Oti Mabuse on YouTube.
History - Today you will be finding out how stone age hunter-gatherers lived, using the BBC link below. Then compare a day of your life with that of a hunter gatherer using the activity I have set as a 2Do on Purple Mash. Or you could use a piece of paper and divide it into 2 sections.
