The Train Ride
The little girl in the story went on a journey to the seaside to visit her Grandma.
Now, can you imagine you are going on a journey? What might you see out of the window? What would you like to see out of the window? It doesn’t have to be a train window. It could be a car window or a rocket window or even an aeroplane window.
Can you write a sentence or some sentences about what you can see?
It could start...
I can see...
You could use one of these page borders and draw a picture in the space if you have a printer. If you don’t have a printer just use plain paper.

Make some homemade maracas.
Use your maracas to make the rhythm of the train as it travels. Think about the speed the train is travelling at as it leaves the station, goes over the bridge and arrives at its destination. Can you change the speed at which you are playing the rhythm?
How about making a video?
It would be great to see the children and their maracas in action.
