Thursday 9th July
Good morning Year 3! Today we will be having another live lesson from 11:30-12:30 on Google Meet. Make sure that you have added yourself to our year 3 class before you use the link to enter our meeting room, if you added yourself last week then you shouldn't need to do this again. This week we will be doing a live science lesson! The year 3 key worker children that are currently in school will also be attending this week so you may see them on the screen with myself. Remember to please mute your microphone unless you are answering a question as it can otherwise become hard for others to hear. You can also use the notes box on the side to share your answers/ questions. Fingers crossed that everyone can get online this week but please contact the office if you have any issues. See you soon, Mrs Ward
Great work yesterday on your illustrations for the opening of the story, I saw some brilliant art work! Today we will be thinking further about this and looking at the first illustration from the book. Please complete the worksheet below.
Continuing our revision, today I would like you to compare and order fractions. Again, use the first sheet to discuss and share examples and then the second sheet for you to have a go.
Try out a Joe Wicks Live PE lesson or a dance routine from Oti Mabuse on YouTube.
Science - This will be today's live lesson. We will be investigating which materials block light to form shadows. If you have a torch handy then it might be useful to have this with you, if not it's no problem as I will be modelling on the live lesson. If you can't get online then don't worry, you can access the PowerPoint below and discuss this at home. If you are able to, please print the worksheets prior to the lesson, if not then have some paper and a pencil handy to make some notes. Please don't try to complete the worksheet before the lesson.
