Thursday 7th May

Morning all! Tomorrow is a Bank Holiday, even if I'm sure every day is starting to blend into one at the moment... so that means another week of home schooling under your belts! While I won't be setting work tomorrow, I'll still be checking emails so if you want to get in touch, just send one over and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks again for all the emails, work and photos you've sent over this week, it's brilliant to see how hard you are all working. Enjoy a well earned long weekend in the sun smiley

Thank you for sending me the heroes you created, I've been so impressed by how cool and imaginative your designs, not to mention your brilliant writing! I will be adding these to our class page over the internet to show off what you've all created smiley Because it's the end of the week, I think it's a nice opportunity to practise your handwriting - so put on some of your favourite music, relax and take your time over each word! Don't forget to leave a finger space between each word, there's no rush so try and make each letter better than the last smiley Choose 10 of the high frequency words to practise - as an extra challenge, you can try to use them in a short sentence.

Maths - Fact Families

Today we are going to remind ourselves of the link between addition (adding things together) and subtraction (taking things away). To help you remember, watch Lesson 2 of Week 3 on White Rose Home Learning. Don't forget to pause the video on each example to have a go yourself using practical resources or some paper to practise! cool When you are confident, there is a worksheet for you to have a go at.

For the last of our lessons on Easter, we are going to look at the importance of the Paschal Candle. I have attached a PowerPoint all about the importance of the Paschal Candle and the meanings of the different symbols on it - then, there is a sheet for you to have a go at designing your own!

I will also link you to a couple of different videos for you to have a go at making a paper candle for some end of the week crafts smiley (Apologies for the music, I must be subconsciously missing Couture wink)

Have a great extended weekend! We will be finishing our weekly phone calls today, so we'll look forward to talking to you smiley

Please note, writing the prayer is optional, although you are of course more than welcome!
