Spelling

Pupils in KS1 do not currently have spelling tests in school.  Through our phonics programme (Read, Write Inc) pupils learn to write all of the different representations for the phonemes and use Fred Talk to sound words out accurately as they write them. 

Years 1 and 2 also have lists of common exception words which can not be segmented phonetically.  These lists are attached below for your convenience.
