This week's Star Writer is Pippa! Well done Pippa for writing an account of yourself for your next teacher!

Star Writer:

A lovely sentence describing Eva's bucket linked to a writing activity about Billy's Bucket by Kes Gray and Garry Parsons.

Our latest Star Writer is Freddie with a super account of a recent visit to Biddulph Grange. Well done Freddie!

We were very excited to welcome our special visitor, Reggie the puppy, into Reception last week! We learnt all about caring for a puppy and how they change as they grow. we all had chance to give Reggie a little stroke too, he's so fluffy!

Friday 17th May 2019. Huge congratulations to Rebecca, our Star Writer this week! Rebecca wrote this fabulous piece of work all about what would happen if she grew a magic vegetable.

EGGCITING NEWS!!!! Our very own cheeky, spring chicks have hatched in Reception this week!! The children have named the chicks. Please welcome Cutie, Arnie, Maxosaurus, Eloisa and Tiny Tim! Tiny Tim has has a poorly leg but has had a consultation with our very own Vet (one of our Reception mummies!) and he seems to be managing very well.

Some of our fabulous learning opportunities in Reception this half term!

Celebrating learning at home! Max brought these amazing 'laptops' he made at home with his Mummy and Daddy. Max told us they control his Jurassic world and he was able to tell us all about the dinosaurs in his park! Max also wrote a book about when he met a Spinosaurus! Well done Max for having so much fun with your learning at home!

April 5th 2019. Star writer of the week is Zuzanna! Congratulations! Zuzanna wrote this beautiful story in the Fairy Tale Book Nook.

Congratulations to our Writer of the Week, Emilia! Emilia did this wonderful writing during our child choice activity time.

Lent in Reception. We all worked together to write our own Lent prayer which we share during our weekly class Liturgy.

Star Writer of the week! Congratulations to Ben for his super effort and hard work with his writing.

Our Focus book this week is A New House for Mouse. The children have drawn some incredible still life pastel pictures of an apple and they have made some gorgeous little mice.

Oh No! The dinosaurs are in a bit of a tangle! The children have had great fun freeing the dinos (which will help them to improve their fine motor control).

We are Busy Bees searching for key words around our classroom.

Here we are learning to write numbers within squares in Maths. Its quite tricky!

There is lots to do in Reception this week!

Mind-mapping our ideas and writing our Lenten Prayers.
