Monday 30th March

Morning all and happy Monday (if I haven't completely lost track of days...)! I hope you all had a happy and healthy, although slightly strange, week last week. It has been amazing to receive so many emails with lots of pictures of the brilliant work and fun activities you've been up to - it really has put a smile on my face, so keep it up!

Could I just ask - if you haven't been in contact yet, please try and send us an email this week, just to let us know how you are getting on! We are still trying to keep some sort of register going, so it would be much appreciated.

As always if you'd like any help, advice or even just a chat, you can email us at year1@st-annes-weepingcross.staffs.sch.uk

Take care and have a brilliant week. Mr Ferguson smiley

Gospel Reading

Attached is a link to a video for your child to watch about the death and resurrection of Lazarus, shared in this week’s gospel reading.

Handwriting

Practise your handwriting of 10 high frequency words. Take extra care over each letter, remember to check if the letters are tall or long, and remember to start on the line! Don't forget to put a finger space between each word, we're looking for b-e-a-utiful presentation.

Reading

Choose one of your favourite books and read it with your parents - they can read to you or you can read to them, you choose! Remember to ask and answer lots of questions to make sure you understand what you are reading!

Maths

Complete the worksheet I have added to the bottom of this page. You need to use your learning from last week to help you to partition (break up) the numbers into their 10s and 1s. Remember to focus on which digit shows us the 10s and which digit shows us the 1s!

Art

Why not take a deep breath, relax and take your time colouring in one of these mindfulness pictures? You can email us to show us your finished picture if you would like! If you don't have a printer, don't worry - you could always be mindful while drawing, colouring or anything else you can think of.

PE

Every morning Joe Wicks is hosting a live PE lesson on his YouTube channel at 9am. Don't worry if you can't wake up that early, they are on YouTube all day!
