Share the story of The Three Little Pigs.

Explain that we are going to cut out the story pictures and stick them in the right order.

We're going to make a story map of The Three Little Pigs.

For the last two weeks of this half term, we will be looking at and thinking about prayer.

We will be practising the traditional prayers that we have learnt so far in school and we will be thinking of our own prayers.

Discuss with your child the prayers that they have learnt so far. Ask them to share the prayers with you.

Practise traditional prayers such as the Hail Mary & the Our Father, our school prayer, morning prayer, lunch time prayer and our end of the day prayer. At the end of our prayers, before making the sign of the cross we always say...

"let trust, respect and love live here". Try to help your child practise this.

Can the children describe what people do when they are saying their prayers?

Decorate name plaque with your child's Christian name -display on prayer wall. or special area at home.

If anyone needs a copy of the prayers that we say in reception, please let me know.

Let's Learn About the Inuit People

Share the power point(pdf) about the Inuit people from the Arctic, with your child..

Talk about the Arctic and what it must be like to
live there.
Focus on the clothes they wear and how they need to protect themselves against the cold.

Then, decorate the Inuit girl or boy with some of their traditional 'Arctic' wear clothes.

(Inuit dress up clothes activity).
