Friday 17th July
Good morning Year 3! Thank you to everyone who logged in yesterday for the live lesson and sent their letters to me for Mrs Hampton, they are brilliant. Also, excellent work on our Times Tables Rock Stars Battle - we won!!! Well done to everyone that logged on and won points for our class, and an extra big well done to Malcolm, Julia, Dominik and Isaac who each got more than 4,000 points!
Finally, I would like to say how proud I am of you all, you have worked so hard during this lockdown. In very strange times you have really shown how grown up and fantastic you all are. I have really enjoyed teaching you this year and it will definitely be a year to remember! I hope you all have a brilliant summer holidays and I am looking forward to seeing you all when you go into Year 4 in September. Love Mrs Ward
Check out the 'Sequence Snake' game on Purple Mash, choose your own level and try to make your snake grow as big as you can. (This reminds me of the first game I had on my Nokia 3310 mobile phone - ask your parents!)
Our final science lesson on 'Light' is investigating how shadows change shape. Read the PowerPoint and then set up your own investigation and see what you can find out. You may want to save this lesson as a little project for you on a nice sunny day. Don't worry about writing down all of your results, as long as you understand how the shadows change shape during the day. Can you find out what time of the day shadows are shortest?
Do you think you can draw a prehistoric animal?
Check out the video below on how to draw the Ice Age's biggest animal the WOOLLY MAMMOTH!
Try out a Joe Wicks Live PE lesson or a dance routine from Oti Mabuse on YouTube.
