Friday 17.07

Today marks the end of your time in Year 2!  Today is tinged with sadness as we haven't been able to welcome you back into school this term to see you in person, but it also marks the start of the summer holidays following which you will all return to school.  This year has been like no other and you have all risen to the challenge extremely well.  Well done to you and your families for adapting to these strange times and continuing to work as hard as have done at home.  Enjoy your break over the summer and we all look forward to seeing you in September when you will be big Year 3s joining KS2.  Each class will have a couple of transition activities going onto your new class page at the start of next week for you to do over the holidays.  Thank you for being a wonderful class, I will miss you all very much and I am very sad that you didn't get to finish your Year 2 journey in school.

                                               Best wishes Mrs Richardson x

Maths

Unfortunately we didn't beat Year 3 in our TTR battle.  However you did extremely well and as a class you scored well over 10, 000 points!  A special well done to Roland, Sebastian, Philip and Isabella Vernon who all scored over 1000 points individually!  Roland actually had the highest score of anyone in year 2 or 3!

For today's activity complete the simple additions to reveal the picture, can you spot the theme if you complete both pictures?  For beige use a skin tone (pink or peach) and press a little harder for the dark beige!

English

Either using the sweet treat you have designed and made this week or thinking of another creative invention you'd like Mr Wonka to make, write a short presentation for Mr Wonka.  Name and describe your treat and decide if it would have a special function it can do E.g. changing flavour.

PE

Join in with Joe Wicks' PE lesson or a dance lesson on Oti's Boogie Beebies.

Art

Design the packaging for your sweet treat.
