Tues 24th March
So sorry, there have been some teething problems and a little confusion over the class pack for Reception. My apologies. All of this is a new way of working so please bear with us.

Find time each day to cuddle up and enjoy a book together.
Use these ideas to help explore your books to extend the learning:
Look at the front cover. What do you think the book is about? What is the title? Who is the author and illustrator? What does the blurb on the back say?. Are there any letters you recognise or words you can read? Can you use your phonic skills to blend sounds together? Can you find any question marks or exclamation marks? Can you work out what will happen next? How do you think the story will end?
Use the phonic flash cards above if you have a facility to print or copy them onto paper or card to make your own. Cut them out and use the as a quick-fire revision/learning tool. This can be done on a daily basis.
Copy each tricky word onto card or paper and use in a similar way to the phonic flash cards for daily revision. Concentrate on Phase 2 & 3 Tricky Words initially moving on to include Phase 4 when your child confidently knows Phases 2 & 3.
