Good Morning Year 1,
Just to say a big thank you and well done for all of your hard work at home again this week (parents included). It has been great to see all of your excellent work and to see all of the great activities you have been doing.
We will be having a virtual catch-up on Google Classroom at 9:30am. I will generate a meet link on the Year 1 stream at that time. If you have any technical difficulties, please contact the school office. I can't wait to see you all!

Phonics
Tune in to the 'Ruth Miskin Training' YouTube channel for a daily speed sound lesson. The films will be available from 9:30am and you can access them for 24 hours. Here is a link to the playlist where you can find set 1, 2 and 3 speed sounds.

If you are feeling confident with your speed sounds, you should have a go at one of the other videos such as 'reading longer words', 'reading red words 1', 'reading red words 2', 'read and hold a sentence 1' and 'read and hold a sentence 2'.
Reading
Follow the link to Oxford Owl to access to a range of eBooks. Remember to read books more than once to ensure that you understand what you are reading and try to read with expression.

Our maths focus for today is solving word and picture problems involving addition and subtraction. WOrk through the PowerPoint below and find the worksheet and challenge activities to follow. The PowerPoint is voiced over for further support.
