Good Morning Year 1,
I hope that you have all had a wonderful weekend.
Let's start the morning by listening to a story. Select a story from the list and enjoy story time! You can either scan the QR code or click on the link below it.
Tune in to the 'Ruth Miskin Training' YouTube channel for a daily speed sound lesson. The films will be available from 9:30am and you can access them for 24 hours. Here is a link to the playlist where you can find set 1, 2 and 3 speed sounds.
If you are feeling confident with your speed sounds, you should have a go at one of the other videos such as 'reading longer words', 'reading red words 1', 'reading red words 2', 'read and hold a sentence 1' and 'read and hold a sentence 2'.
Follow the link to Oxford Owl to access to a range of eBooks. Remember to read books more than once to ensure that you understand what you are reading and try to read with expression.
Here is a PowerPoint that I have voiced over for further support. You will find a worksheet along with a challenge and reflect below it.
Re-read 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers and work through the PowerPoint. You will need the worksheet and text provided.
Enjoy a PE session with Joe Wicks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnOtrnh80hs
Work through the PowerPoint below. We will be learning to create and debug a set of instructions (algorithm) using Purple Mash. If you are unsure of your login/password please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
