Phonics
Tune in to the 'Ruth Miskin Training' YouTube channel for a daily speed sound lesson. The films will be available from 9:30am and you can access them for 24 hours. Here is a link to the playlist where you can find set 1, 2 and 3 speed sounds.

If you are feeling confident with your speed sounds, you should have a go at one of the other videos such as 'reading longer words', 'reading red words 1', 'reading red words 2', 'read and hold a sentence 1' and 'read and hold a sentence 2'.
Follow the link to Oxford Owl to access to a range of eBooks. Look in your book-bag to see your Oxford Owl book band colour and enjoy daily reading. Remember to read books more than once to ensure that you understand what you are reading and try to read with expression.
The children were assessed in phonics just before Christmas and we will soon be providing further guidance with our online teaching for phonics.
Maths
We are starting a new unit of our Power Maths scheme called 'Subtraction within 20'. Work through the PowerPoint below and try to complete the worksheet and challenge afterwards. I have voiced the PowerPoint to provide further support.
English
Today, our focus in English will be on adjectives. Work through the PowerPoint below and complete the activity linking to our story of 'The Ugly Sharkling'.
Science
In our previous science lesson, we were able to identify, name, draw and label the basic parts of the human body. In our science lesson this afternoon, we are going to build on this knowledge by learning which part of the body is associated with each sense. Work through the PowerPoint below and find the worksheet to follow.
