Good Morning Year 1,

I hope that you have had a great weekend. We will be having live Maths and English lessons on Tuesday and Thursday morning this week. We look forward to seeing you all.

Reading

Please visit the 'classwork' section of our year 1 Google Classroom page. Mr Killeen has posted a reading survey for you all to fill in. This will enable me to develop ways to help you with your reading. 

 

We also have a new exciting opportunity for you to access a wide range of books on a website called Epic! school. Visit https://www.getepic.com/students, enter our class code chx7012 and select your name. You will then have access to a library of books and audio books during the school day (until 4pm). I will be able to see how much time you have spent reading and you can collect points.

If you are in the pink group, this is what you should focus on:

  • Set 2 sounds (reading and spelling): gaps in sound knowledge
  • First few Set 3 sounds (reading and spelling)
  • Red Words for Pink Storybooks
  • Hold a Sentence for Pink Storybooks Pink story e-book from Oxford Owl
