Welcome to our new class page. On this page you can find out about all the exciting things we will be learning about over the half term by clicking on the Curriculum Overview link. Please keep an eye out for information that you need to know, and a look at what we have been learning about in our class.

 

The spelling lists for the next half term can be accessed from this area. Please click on the link and you can check which spellings to practise for the week. All children in the class will now be learning the same spellings based on our spelling focus for the week.

Writer of the Week (29th March 2019) - Mia. Well done for a fantastic sequel to 'The Magic Finger'. Jam packed with exciting vocabulary, varied sentence types and careful spelling and punctuation!

22nd March - Well done to Sophia this week for great improvements in her writing. ~This week we have planned a sequel to The Magic Finger and began to draft the opening. Sophia has listened really well to plan a sequence in note form and think about how to start her new narrative. Great improvements in handwriting too! Excellent Sophia!

Summer I learning overview

As children are coming towards the end of their time in Key Stage 1 I have added some videos and samples of work which show expectations of reading and writing towards the end of Year 2. Please use them as a guide to help your child when reading and writing at home.
